The RE-1 Valley Learning Center

The program goal is attainment of a HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA for students age 17 and older who have not yet graduated.

Upon completion of the outlined curriculum, students will be issued a diploma from Sterling High School. With acceptance from another high school principal, a student may receive a diploma from his/her home school having met the appropriate graduation requirements.

All requests for attendance shall be submitted to the Learning Center Director. A completed application packet, payment of fees, individual learning contract and orientation meeting is required for enrollment.

All computer-assisted coursework should be completed at the Learning Center. Temporary home access may be available for special circumstances. An application with documentation and approval from the director are required.

ALL assessments and final tests must be done at the Learning Center.

The fee for this program is $50.00 per semester. Fees must be paid prior to enrollment for the semester. Fees are non-refundable.

Students who qualify according to the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) to be counted in the district’s enrollment may receive a full or partial waiver of the fee.

A = 94-100%
B = 86-93%
C = 80-85%

Multiple opportunities are given to revise work. If a student earns 95% or higher on the pre-test for a lesson, he/she will receive automatic credit for the lesson.

A = 94-100%
B = 86-93%
C = 80-85%
D = 75-79%

Students must participate in all district and state testing (e.g. CSAP, ACT, NWEA) as required.
