    March 26th

     

    After School Detention will be in Ms. Maxwell’s room this week.

     

    Seniors:  As you start to receive scholarship awards, please bring the notification of the award to Mrs. Clark in the Counseling Office. Mrs. Clark would like to know if you receive a scholarship in order to get prepared for the Academic Award Banquet.

     

    -Seniors: If you plan on attending NJC and have not applied for the HOPE Scholarship, please stop in the counseling office and see Mrs. Clark.

     

    -Are you planning on attending CSU in Fort Collins? If so, have you stopped in the counseling office and picked up the Logan County Colorado State University Alumni Association Scholarship application? Application is due April 1, 2019. See the counseling office for more info.

     

    -Are you planning on attending NJC, do you have a 3.0 GPA, are you a student that has exhibited strong character traits and involvement in SHS/your community? Have you overcome some obstacles that have allowed you to be successful? If this fits you, please stop by the counseling office and pick up the Sterling Rotary Club scholarship.

    March 27th                       Juniors CMAS Testing                                                    7:45am – 11:09am TIGER DEN

     

    ALL juniors will take the CMAS Science test on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 27, 2019 from 7:50-11:15am.

    Please plan to arrive by 7:45am for check-in.   ALL juniors must enter through the Tiger Den doors on the morning of Wednesday, March 27, to check in for CMAS testing.

    -This is a regular school day and ALL students are expected to attend.

    -Juniors will test during O-5 and O-6. If you have a college class during this time, it is your responsibility to make arrangements with your NJC instructor.

    -NO electronic devices are allowed in the testing area. ALL cell phones, smart watches and other electronic devices should be left in your car or at home. Any device brought into the building will be checked in with staff during testing.

    -Computer lab rosters will be posted in the main office, counseling office and library.

  • 3rd Quarter Report Cards are now available on parent portal. If you need your student's report card printed please contact the SHS Counseling Office at 970-522-2944.

    Attention all FFA students, parents and supporters: We will be postponing our Oyster Fry due to potential bad weather. The tickets sold to you will be valid for the new date so please keep them. We will be announcing our new date soon so please keep an ear out for it. The students who sold to you will be contacting you with information as we move forward and we will be posting new information on Facebook and the school website. Sorry for any inconvenience.

We have high expectations of our staff, students, parents, and community.  We are proud to offer a safe learning environment that promotes excellence in all aspects of our school. Please work with us as we dedicate our efforts to hold students accountable for their learning and behavior. Together, we will challenge each student in a positive atmosphere, model positive beliefs in their efforts, and achieve a high quality education. We are excited to have you become involved in our school, academically, socially and emotionally, artistically, and athletically.  We expect students to compete, achieve, and succeed in becoming productive citizens.
