    On behalf of the faculty and staff, it is my honor to welcome you to Sterling High School. We have high expectations of our staff, students, parents, and community.  We are proud to offer a safe learning environment that promotes excellence in all aspects of our school. Please work with us as we dedicate our efforts to hold students accountable for their learning and behavior. Together, we will challenge each student in a positive atmosphere, model positive beliefs in their efforts, and achieve a high quality education. We are excited to have you become involved in our school, academically, socially and emotionally, artistically, and athletically.  We expect students to compete, achieve, and succeed in becoming productive citizens.     *Just a reminder that Academic Award Reservations are due by Monday, May 1st.

     

    *Credit Recovery/Tutoring will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week.

     

    **The last HOSA meeting for this year will be Monday, May 1st at 6:30 pm. at NJC rm #213 This will be our awards night and election officers. Refreshments provided.

     

    PROM INFO:

    The SHS Junior Class would like to invite you to Prom 2017 "Moonlight Masquerade" April 29, 2017. Tickets go on sale Monday, April 24th in the SHS Library and are $20.00 per ticket. All detentions must be cleared before buying tickets. Tickets must be purchased before April 29th, they will NOT be sold at the door. Doors open at 7:00pm, dance starts at 8:00pm, doors close at 9:00pm, and the dance ends at midnight.

    SHS After-Prom Permission Forms are available in the office.  SHS Prom Out-of-Town Date Forms are in the office.  

     

    ****Seniors as you receive scholarships please notify Mrs. Clark in the Counseling Office. The deadline is May 1st, 2017. This is for the listing in the academic awards banquet program.

     

    SENIOR SLIDE SHOW INFO:   The yearbook staff needs 1 baby AND 1 senor photo - we will use the one you submitted for the yearbook, unless you want to use a different one.  Email to Mrs. Cartwright or the yearbook staff by Friday, April 28 @cartwrightm@re1valleyschools.org or to shstigeryb@gmail.com. **** PLEASE NOTE - hard copies of any photos submitted, will be charged $25 processing fee and will not be returned until you pick up your diploma

School Bus

RE-1 is starting a Bus Task Force whose purpose is to evaluate current busing procedures, examine equity and safety for all students and help attract and retain qualified bus drivers.  

 

We will hold an organizational meeting the first week of May. 

 

If you are interested in being part of this Task Force please email Kelly Jo Harlow at harlowk@re1valleyschools.org  by 4:00 pm April 28, 2017.  

 

 

You're Invited The Board of Education will hold a Public Forum/Workshop at the Hagen Administration Center on Monday April 24, 2017 at 6:00 pm. 

The purpose of the meeting is to take an in depth look at proposed budget cuts.
