The alternate date to register will be Friday, August 9th after 10 a.m until 3:00 p.m. only for those who absolutely cannot make it to the regular registration day on the 5th. We expect everyone to attempt to come to the regular registration if at all possible while we have the staff here.

State law requires that all 14 1⁄2 to 15 1⁄2 year-olds take a 30-hour driver’s education course and pass a permit test to get their driver’s permit.

For more information please contact the counseling office at SHS at 522-2944. Credit will not be awarded for this class. We are partnering with DriveSafe Driving Schools to offer driver's ed. This class will not show up on the student's transcript. Once the student completes the online program, they do earn a certificate. If they bring that certificate to the counseling office, we can make a copy and keep that copy on file. The cost of this program is $55.
