    SHS Changes for 2019-2020

                -Grades will be figured on a running total for the semester.

                -Government class will be extended to 1 year class.

                -SHS Bell/Class Schedule is located on page 3 of handbook.

                -SHS grading scale is located on page 13 of handbook.

                -Wednesday & Thursday mornings from 7:30 until 7:58 is

                  for student to check in with their teachers, make up

                  work/tests, work on certificates, meetings.

  • EDGE Online Application Now Available!
     
    Are you a teen parent? Do you work full-time to help support a family? Do you have an illness that prevents you from attending a brick and mortar school? Do you struggle with anxiety? Do you want more independence and flexibility in your education? Have you been unsuccessful in brick and mortar classrooms? Then the EDGE may be the right program for you! 
     
    If you are a high school student living in the RE-1 Valley School District and are interested in an online option for earning your high school diploma, then go to the Sterling High School website at www.re1valleyschools.org/Domain/14 to find more information about the EDGE and begin the enrollment process. More information about the first orientation sessions will be available in August.
     
    If you are interested in the EDGE program, but are not enrolled at Sterling High School you will need to complete new student enrollment beginning July 29, 2019. All other students must attend registration on August 2, 2019.

  •  On behalf of the faculty and staff, it is my honor to welcome you to Sterling High School. We have high expectations of our staff, students, parents, and community.  We are proud to offer a safe learning environment that promotes excellence in all aspects of our school. Please work with us as we dedicate our efforts to hold students accountable for their learning and behavior. Together, we will challenge each student in a positive atmosphere, model positive beliefs in their efforts, and achieve a high quality education. We are excited to have you become involved in our school, academically, socially and emotionally, artistically, and athletically.  We expect students to compete, achieve, and succeed in becoming productive citizens.
