The EDGE is a unique blended learning opportunity for students enrolled at Sterling High School.Approved as single-district program by the Colorado Department of Education, the EDGE allows students in grades 9-12 to take responsibility for their own learning and to complete graduation requirements through a rigorous online curriculum and face- to-face instruction with a highly qualified mentor-teacher.With the availability of courses 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, students have flexibility to complete school each day at a time and place of their choice.

A system for consistent communication between the mentor-teacher, students and parents/guardians builds a relationship of collaboration and support.

Additionally, students are able to take courses such as band, choir, art, and technology at the Sterling High School campus. Concurrent enrollment classes at Northeastern Junior College are available to juniors and seniors.

Students also have the flexibility of two diploma paths based on their individual needs and goals. Students whosuccessfully complete the requirements for graduation will have the opportunity to participate in the annual graduation ceremony.

Students are also encouraged to participate in vocational clubs, athletics and social activities at Sterling High School.

The EDGE program is committed to providing an engaging, challenging and personalized learning environment where all students are motivated to find their purpose, to clearly see their worth and to realize their full potential as they prepare to be competitive and productive citizens in this 21st century.
