At Tuesday night’s board meeting, the RE-1 Valley Board of Education appointed Ron Marostica as the interim superintendent effective immediately. The board made this appointment after granting a leave of absence to Dr. Jan DeLay through the end of her contract, June 30, 2020.
Marostica has served as the district’s assistant superintendent for many years. The board is confident his familiarity with the district, our programs, people, parents, and community partners will help to ensure stability at this critical time. Marostica will serve in this capacity through June 30, 2020.
