STUDENT LEADERSHIP
Current 8th-11th graders. If you’re interested in being in Student Leadership class next year, see Mr. Hoppe to get an application. Students in this class will automatically be in student council next year. Applications are due by May 1st. Current student leaders who wish to take the class next year do not need to fill out an application.
NATIONAL STUDENT LEADERSHIP WEEK
National Student Leadership Week is April 20th-24th. Help NHS celebrate our student leaders.
Monday – Share your gratitude for the leaders you look up to, by adding a note on the Gratitude Wall in the HS Lobby.
Tuesday – Kindness/Mindful Leaders Day, take the time to read and reflect on the messages posted throughout the halls.
Wednesday – Dress Like Your Mentor Day, Students are encouraged to dress like someone they look up to. This could be a teacher, community member, or public figure.
Thursday – Color War, each class will wear a designated color representing a leadership trait:
· Seniors – Pink (Empathy)
· Juniors – Blue (Loyalty/Integrity)
· Sophomores – Orange (Honesty)
· Freshman – Yellow (Confidence)
· 8th Grade – White (Compassion)
· 7th Grade – Green (Acceptance)
Friday – NHS will hold a fun lunch game with prizes. Please bring your Chromebook or cell phone to participate.
