COLLEGE VISITS
If you are a Junior or Senior, we will be gearing up to go on College Visits this semester. Mrs. Beckham will be creating a Google Classroom and inviting all Juniors and Seniors to it, so make sure you add the class. This will give you all of the details about when college visits are happening. The first college visit will be on Wednesday, September 16th to UNC. We will leave at 7:30 am. Please let Mrs. Beckham know if you are interested in going.
VOICE OF DEMOCRACY AUDIO ESSAY COMPETITION
The Voice of Democracy Audio Essay Competition is for 9-12th grade students who are interested in competing for a scholarship hosted by the VFW. There are over $2 million in scholarships and the National First Place Scholarship Winner will receive $35,000. The theme this year is "What a Veteran Taught Me About America." If you would like an application or more information, please see Mrs. Beckham.
PATRIOT'S PEN WRITTEN ESSAY CONTEST
The Patriot's Pen Contest is for 6-8th grade students who are interested in competing for a scholarship hosted by the VFW. There are National awards up to $5,000. This year's theme is "What a Veteran Taught Me About America." If you would like an application or more information, please see Mrs. Beckham.
BECOME THE FACE OF THE BUFFALOES!
Caliche Schools is looking for students in grades 6–12 who are interested in serving as our official school mascot for the 2026-27 school year! This is a great opportunity to show your school spirit, encourage our teams, and represent Caliche at athletic events, pep assemblies, and other school activities. Pick up an application in the high school office, submission deadline is Wednesday, Aug. 26th.
