Greetings RE-1 Valley Community,
My name is Dustin Hunt, and I am truly honored to serve as the Superintendent of the RE-1 Valley School District. It is a privilege to join a district with such strong traditions, dedicated educators, supportive families, and exceptional students. RE-1 Valley is a special place, and I am excited to be a part of its future.
With nearly 30 years of experience in education, including roles as a teacher in Idaho and as both a high school principal and superintendent in Wyoming, I am deeply committed to student success, collaborative leadership, and community engagement. My wife Heidi, who is also an educator, and I are excited to call this community home, and we look forward to being active members of our community in many facets. We’re especially grateful to be near our four grown children, who have started building their own lives close by.
I love the West, the outdoors, and the unique strength of rural communities. I believe that schools are the heart of our rural communities, and I am eager to support and build upon the great work already happening here in RE-1 Valley Schools.
As I begin this new chapter, I look forward to meeting many of you, students, staff, parents, and community members, and learning how we can work together to continue providing the best possible education for all our students. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if I can be of any assistance.
