The RE-1 Valley School District Board of Education has declared a vacancy for the Director District 7 seat.
Application Deadline: Monday, August 3, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
Individuals interested in being considered for appointment to the vacant District 7 Board of Education seat should submit the materials listed below by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2026, to Board President Joel McCracken at mccrackenjo@re1valleyschools.org.
Submission Requirements
Please submit the following materials for the Board's consideration:
A statement of interest explaining why you wish to serve on the RE-1 Valley School District Board of Education.
A current résumé.
Three (3) professional or personal references, including contact information.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet all qualifications established under Colorado law, including:
Be a registered elector of the RE-1 Valley School District for at least twelve (12) consecutive months immediately preceding the appointment.
Reside within Director District 7.
Be otherwise eligible to hold public office under Colorado law.
Term of Appointment
The individual appointed by the Board will serve until the next regular biennial school election in November 2027.
