RE-1 Valley School District Families: The RE-1 Valley School District Transportation Department is experiencing a severe bus driver shortage. Due to this shortage, the Padroni route for Sterling schools will run, but will be modified due to this shortage and information will be sent at the beginning of next week for this route. All other Sterling and Caliche rural bus routes are not affected and will run the same as in previous years. Unfortunately, the in-town bussing vendor, Overland Trail Bus Lines, will not be providing the intown bus transportation for the school district this year. If your child rode the in-town Overland Trails Bus last year, please be prepared to find an alternate form of transportation, as there will be no in-town bussing provided this year. The school district is actively trying to hire more bus drivers to help with this situation. We will keep you informed of any transportation updates as they become available. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Sincerely, Marty Foster Superintendent of Schools
Re-1 District would like to thank our wonderful staff, students, and community for participating in our Hats For Homeless on Nov. 17th. We are excited to announce that we were able to raise $4,500 for our Mckinney Vento Students! We would also like to thank Cindy Reyes our Family Community Advocate for all of the hard work and dedication she puts into supporting our students. She was the driving force behind this event and spent countless hours preparing and planning for this special day!
